After a 40-year career, including the last seven-and-a-half years with the Klamath Tribes at Ambodat, Mark Buettner retired. His final year with the Tribes was as Director of Ambodat. Buettner said he looks forward to traveling with his wife and relaxing after his long tenure as a fish biologist. He worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on restoration projects and extensively worked on developing the Lost River and Shortnose sucker recovery plan, and took the lead in the work to have the four dams removed from the Klamath River while at Ambodat.
